Strona internetowa poświęcona jest w całości mojemu projektowi dyplomowemu, który obroniłem w październiku 2009 roku na Politechnice Łódzkiej w Instytucie Architektury i Urbanistyki.

      Celem projektu było pokazanie możliwości inwestycyjnych drzemiących w zabytkowym Śródmieściu jednego z największych polskich miast jakim jest Łódź. Chciałem również przede wszystkim zwrócić uwagę na kilka istotnych dla miasta faktów:
- niedoinwestowanie centrum miasta oraz nasilająca się polityka eksurbanizacji.
- brak odpowiednich planów zagospodarowania przestrzennego które zadbałyby o zabytkowe centrum.
- częste zaniedbania i wyburzenia zabytkowych budowli świadczących o charakterze miasta.
- nie wystarczająca ilość architektury o odpowiednio wysokiej randze i jakości wykonania w centrum miasta.

     Projekt obejmuje  zaplanowanie funkcji domu aukcyjnego, jako rehabilitację oraz rozbudowę budynku dawnego ‘Towarzystwa Kredytowego Miejskiego’ znajdującego przy ulicy Pomorskiej 21 w Łodzi. Forma i środki wyrazu architektonicznego mają na celu wywołanie uczucia kontrastu pomiędzy starą a nową strukturą. Jednocześnie nowe elementy tworzą architekturę która nie góruje nad starą budowlą, a może posłużyć jako odpowiednie tło przez kolejne dziesięciolecia.  
      W rozplanowaniu starałem się pokazać modelowy sposób postępowania w ciasnej zabudowie śródmiejskiej historycznego centrum. Funkcję domu aukcyjnego uzupełniają: parking kubaturowy obsługujący cały kompleks, oraz niezależnie funkcjonująca restauracja z niezbędnym zapleczem kuchenno-magazynowo-biurowym.

      This website is devoted entirely to my graduation project, which was presented in October 2009 at the Technical University of Lodz, at the Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning.

      The aim of the project was to present investment opportunities slumbering in the historic center of one of the largest Polish cities – Lodz. I also wanted to especially point out some important facts for the city:
- low-investment in the city center and the policy of rising eksurbanisation.
- lack of adequate spatial plans that would deal with the historic center.
- frequent neglect and demolition of historic buildings that are the essence of the character
  of the city.
- lack of architecture of sufficiently high rank and quality of work in the city center.
     

      The project itself is the design of the auction house planned as the rehabilitation and expansion of the building of the former ‘Credit Association of the City’, which is located on the Pomorska street in Lodz. The form and means of architectural expression are intended to stimulate feelings of the contrast between the old and the new structure. At the same time new elements create architecture that is not dominating the old building, and can serve as a suitable background for the next decades. The layout of functions attempted to show how to proceed in the crowded lots located in the historic downtown. Complement of the auction house are: multi-storey car park serving the entire complex, and independently functioning restaurant with all the necessary facilities and office.
